The Roxy Theatre & The Emancipation Festival present this charismatic and talented blues and jazz duo. The recipients of multiple Maple Blues Awards, a Gemini and a Socan Song Writers of the Year Award, Braithwaite has been called a national treasure and has ties to Owen Sound dating back to the Underground Railroad. Her Great Aunt Addie was the first black female to become an ordained minister in Canada and she served as a minister of the Owen Sound British Methodist Episcopal Church.
