The theatre seats 400 people in extremely comfortable, rich, red-padded theatre seats. The Roxy is the only purpose-built theatre in Grey and Bruce counties with a coveted stadium license endorsement, allowing clients to bring alcoholic beverages directly to their seats, if this option is chosen by the renter/promoter. Stadium licensing is included with all rentals, however this licensing is only appropriate for performances where the majority of the theatre’s patrons will be aged 19 or over.
Three wheelchair spaces are provided at centre rear, and another three seats are removeable at the front of the theatre on stage left to accommodate more wheelchairs, if necessary, or a pit band. The three wheelchair spaces at the rear can also be transformed into space for a sound board if necessary. Our angled (raked) floor ensures that stage visibility is excellent from any seat in the house and the auditorium has wonderful acoustics. Assistive listening devices can be engaged at no charge by contacting the box office at least 48 hours prior to a performance.
Artists have exclusive access to a large Green Room with up to six separate dressing areas partitioned by curtains, a makeup room, full-size lockers and a private bathroom and shower facility just off of The Roxy’s work room. A private staircase from the makeup room takes performers directly to the stage. An elevator is also available to take artists directly from the lobby to the Green Room.
Six seats are held for use by ushers at all times.
