What will your legacy be?
- How can you ensure you will be remembered as a passionate patron of the arts?
- How can you ensure that The Roxy will continue to be a cultural showpiece for the entire community?
- How can you ensure that future generations will benefit from vital artistic programming and training opportunities for all?
- How can you benefit your estate while supporting the arts?
By planning a gift to OSLT, a donation is made from your accumulated assets which allows you to realize your philanthropic objectives while maximizing the tax benefits for your estate. Your gift will help ensure a legacy for future generations of theatre lovers and help to inspire like-minded patrons of the arts.
Your gift to OSLT will generate a charitable tax credit which can reduce the payment of your final income taxes. Additional tax benefits may be available to you when you donate shares, establish OSLT as the irrevocable owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or establish a charitable annuity.
Your request to family and friends to consider OSLT as the beneficiary of donations in your memory is another important step in realizing your visionary support of our organization to help ensure our sustenance in an era of constant cuts to the arts as a result of challenging economic times.
In 2011, on the eve of OSLT’s 50th anniversary, founding member Ruth Gorbet broke the taboo that sometimes comes with discussing “what comes next” with her family and friends by happily announcing that she had made a lasting legacy to OSLT through arrangements in her will. By sharing her intentions with us, we have been given an early gift — a chance to acknowledge her generosity in her lifetime and thank her for her ongoing dedication to OSLT and to her community.
Careful planning for tomorrow makes for a better today. Thank you for considering OSLT in your future plans.
