Inspired by the band, the man, the machine – THE HiP MACHINE brings you the music of The Tragically Hip the way it was meant to be heard — live. Darryl Aspin of Hitcher fame made his mark captivating audiences across the Durham Region with his strong vocal ability and high-energy performances. Behind Darryl is a band of talented musicians, including guitarist Mike Rewegen, drummer Seth McNamara, bassist Stephen Reid, on lead guitar, Mike Marinuk. After six years as a founding member of another Ontario Hip tribute — he now showcases his abilities as our ‘Robbie’, with performances mirroring the albums and live HiP recordings.
For many, The Tragically Hip was the ultimate live band — the power and the magic of the HiP was on the stage! Our goal is to bring that feeling back, at every show. We push it further with custom live video built directly into the performance — giving the crowd a modern, immersive live show. Never satisfied with the standard rinse-and-repeat, THE HiP MACHINE are always pushing for more – a constantly evolving live experience.
