The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] is a fast-paced, witty, and highly physical comedy that crams all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays into just 97 minutes—performed by only three energetic actors. Bursting with clever wordplay, wild improvisation, and slapstick humor, the show pokes fun at both the tragedies and the comedies, finding laughs in every corner of the Bard’s works. Love him or hate him this irreverent romp offers nonstop laughter and a fresh, hilarious take on the classics.
They are so so so so so excited to be joining OSLT! (Like, so excited, this is so cool). Thank you to literally everyone, but specifically every single crew member, the dream team that is Michael and Tom, Eddy and Jordan, and to the audience for supporting live theatre in a time when real art is more important than ever! :)
When not on stage, you can find Amber creating their next piece of wearable art, having a dance party with their preschoolers, or snuggling with their kitties in bed <3
A recent graduate from Fanshawe College, Edward is a part-time DND dungeon master, and aspiring actor. He is brand new to the Roxy Theatre, having only previously been in a one-act show called The Philadelphia. In his time in college, Edward worked under many professionals in the field, and loves every second of being on stage. Other stage works include: the Sea Captain and an ensemble role in Orlando by Sarah Ruhl, and various characters in The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza. After his time in college, he is excited and proud to be a part of this production.
Jordan is a 24 year old local of Owen Sound. His first show was around 12 years old in a small child version of the Shakespeare play called Kid Summer Nights Dream. Since then he’s has performed in some small local school plays as well as OSLT’s Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as part of the ensemble. He has also performed in the one act called 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse. He is very eager and excited to put on his acting shows again to play his part in this up coming performance The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).
Although Cher is not new to theatre she is new to Owen Sound, OSLT and the Roxy. She is very happy to be working with this cast and crew on this wonderful production so sit back and enjoy this fun show!
Over the last decade, Colleen has been seen in many OSLT productions, most recently, in Cinderella. This play marks her first foray into backstage work. Witnessing a script come alive on stage is a process she finds fascinating, no matter the perspective. Colleen wishes all of you a good chuckle as you experience Shakespeare’s glorious words in this zany theatrical adventure.
Debbie enjoys being ON and BACK stage. She has been a member of OSLT for 10 years and has been involved in too many plays to mention. She is the Props Team Lead for OSLT and this play has been one of the plays she will remember as a true team effort. Thank you to Raven Galsten for getting this show started. Thank you to Andy and Paul for eagerly jumping in at the last minute and getting the job done. It has been a pleasure working with 3 young, eager and talented actors. Well done!
Jodi is thrilled to have another opportunity to produce for OSLT and what a gift to work with three newer stars on our beloved stage. She also loves working backstage at OSLT shows, her most recent role was an unused prompter for The Play that Goes Wrong, so grateful for not hearing “LINE”. She wants to thank Rob for making sure she was fed and watered as she headed to the theatre night after night and for getting her home when they’d stay to celebrate their hard work. To Michael and Tom, you make the job easy because of all you do. Working with these guys who have both been on the other side of the curtain has been a dream, they see the show from every direction and have mentored our new stars brilliantly. Thank you!
Karen has been involved with the theatre for well over ten years, 9 of which have been for the Roxy working in the Wardrobe department. She thoroughly enjoys meeting and working with all the cast and crew on every production. It is never a dull moment!
Her most recent involvements were Something Rotten!, The Prom, Prelude to a Kiss, and Cinderella. The theatre is full of wonders that can ignite our imagination!
Kathleen has been a member of OSLT for over 40 years and has enjoyed treading the boards onstage, being on the board offstage, directing shows and designing and programming lights. This is the second time she has worked on a play about Shakespeare, the first one was when she directed Something Rotten! in 2024. Relax and enjoy!
Marilyn has been involved with local theatre for about 15 years, first as a costumer and then expanding into set design, construction and painting. She has completed several learning workshops through Stratford’s Off the Wall Theatre Production Workshop including courses in patterning drafting, millinery, and artistic welding, and looks forward to continuing to expand her creative repertoire with future workshops. Marilyn is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Michael and members of the cast and production team on The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).
Michael is very quickly becoming a veteran for Owen Sound Little Theatre. Though this is his debut as a director this is his 9th season and his 23rd production with the company in various roles. Those roles include actor, Stage Manager, lighting and sound design. Michael is always a breath of fresh air at rehearsal and on stage. We would like to wish him well on his directorial debut and we are excited to see what he comes up with next.
Sophie is excited to return to OSLT as Assistant Stage Manager on The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). This is her second production with the company, following her onstage debut in Cinderella in the fall of 2025. She’s thrilled to be learning the ropes backstage, and would like to thank the amazing cast for making her laugh at every rehearsal. Outside of the theatre, Sophie works as a wedding and family photographer in Owen Sound.
Tom has had a good time working on this production. Talking about Shakespeare’s plays, laughing at Shakespeare’s expense, and creating an entertaining modern play with other interested people has been very rewarding. Tom would like to thank the team at The Milk Maid for scheduling and his wife Dale for supporting. “So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, so long lives this, and this gives life to thee.”
Most of the time, Wendy helps actors to look beautiful or handsome. Occasionally she has inflicted a few cuts, scrapes or bruises. Whatever the task, she is up for the challenge. She credits Marian Masters and Larry Henry for introducing her to the art of makeup.
