The Owen Sound Little Theatre is a thriving, welcoming artistic community dedicated to making quality live theatre happen at home.
Owen Sound Little Theatre is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and have the opportunity to participate fully. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and strive to remove barriers to participation in our productions, programs, and leadership. We believe that a broad range of voices, perspectives, and experiences strengthens our theatre and enriches our community.
At the OSLT, we introduce our members – of all ages and experience levels – to the magic of theatre in a supportive, social and artistically rewarding environment. While our productions are always of the highest standard, theatre is about so much more than the show itself! It builds confidence and self-esteem, challenges an individual’s comfort level and breaks down social barriers. Oh, and we have tons of fun as well!
The OSLT needs a large and active membership to do all that we do AND… the opportunity to volunteer on our productions is exclusive to our members.
We are revamping our Memberships in some new and exciting ways that you can read about below!
Membership Types
Volunteer Member
$22.60/year
- Front-of-the-line ticket sales for all OSLT productions, Roxy Presents and OSLT workshop/events*
- Annual volunteer event invitations
- Invitations to OSLT celebrations and volunteer-related events
- New volunteers have the opportunity to be mentored by an existing Volunteer
- Be a part of OSLT shows and assist with operation of the theatre
- Become an OSLT Voting Member (16+ years only)
- Participate in and further OSLT/The Roxy as a not-for-profit organization by:
- Attending meetings (AGM, GM)
- May run for Board position
- Assist in any capacity with a production or operation of the theatre
- Training that will be available to you
- AODA
- SmartServe (if applicable)
- Working From Heights (if applicable)
- Youth volunteers under 18 years old, are free. Youth volunteers cannot sell 50/50 tickets or serve at the Roxy bar.
- As a Volunteer Member you will receive communication through:
- OSLT Newsletters
- eBlasts
- Notice of production crew applications and auditions for OSLT shows
- Meetings
- Members Only section of website
- *Other events may have front-of-the-line tickets as a benefit, but these need to be negotiated with promoters/renters.
Lifetime Volunteer Membership
$565.00/year
- Front-of-the-line ticket sales for all OSLT productions, Roxy Presents and OSLT workshop/events*
- Annual volunteer event invitations
- Invitations to OSLT celebrations and volunteer-related events
- New volunteers have the opportunity to be mentored by an existing Volunteer
- Be a part of OSLT shows and assist with operation of the theatre
- Become an OSLT Voting Member (16+ years only)
