Leonard Vole is accused of murdering a widow to inherit her wealth. The stakes are high – will Leonard survive the shocking witness testimony, will he be able to convince the jury, and you of his innocence and escape the hangman’s noose?
Grateful to practice the craft in a room someone else pays rent for, Aaron is a Roxy Ghost who just won’t leave. Trained in Theatre at Humber, Aaron has voiceover credits for Hershey’s, Bell, and HBO’s Hop (2024). Last seen in OSLT’s Cinderella, Aaron is excited to be working with such a talented cast and crew pursuing justice for this terrible crime – The Law is a serious business, after all!
Once again, Ben feels privileged to be working with old and new friends as this Agatha Christie masterpiece is presented to the Roxy audience. As an OSLT member since 1980 he has assisted with set construction, stage management and fundraising together with on stage appearances, most recently in Something Rotten!. Enjoy the show!
Bill has always enjoyed live theatre both on and off stage. He has performed on stage in a number of OSLT productions including Hello Dolly, Brigadoon, Carousel, Beauty and the Beast, and Prelude to a Kiss. It is a wonderful opportunity to play in a classic Agatha Christie courtroom drama. Thanks to Bill Murphy and the support team as well as the other talented actors for their support!
Catherine, a longtime member of OSLT always enjoys working on a production. As Head of Wardrobe her focus for the last few years has been making the actors look good in shows like Cinderella and The Complete Works of Shakespeare but it is always fun to be “out front”. You last saw her in 7 Stories, Please No Flowers and West Moon. Many thanks to Bill and this wonderful cast and crew for the opportunity. Please enjoy the show.
Devin is so stoked to step into this, his first major role ever. Previously, he joined the ensemble for OSLT’s production of The Prom and did sound design for 7 Stories. Devin loves this community and plans to be around for a long, long time to come. Special thanks to his wonderful wife Christelle who played every role other than Leonard in helping him prepare.
Grace Pellizzer is excited to make her debut with the OSLT. She appeared in high school plays, including The Crucible and Peter Pan, and is delighted to return to acting after a long intermission. Grace is a high school English teacher, where the drama can rival the stage. She thanks the wonderful cast and crew for the warm welcome.
Jacynthe Wolski, who goes by Jazzy, is a French teacher by day and an aspiring actress by night. Jazzy is an avid fan of Agatha Christie, which sparked her interest in auditioning for the play. Witness For The Prosecution is her first Roxy production.
“Murder is always a mistake. You should not do anything one cannot talk about after dinner.” – Oscar Wilde. And.. here we are! As Past President and member of many teams, Jane has also produced several shows over her 16 years with OSLT. It takes a village. On stage whether more recently in The Ladies Foursome, You, Me & A Bit Of Driftwood, The Games A Foot or Noises Off. Thank you to Bill for trusting that Janet would be an authentic witness! What a wonderful team! As always, so blessed to be interrogated by my husband Sir Jed. Love and thanks to my supportive family too. Enjoy the twists and turns!
Janet has been with OSLT since the 1990s, both backstage and onstage in several productions. It’s always fun but this has been special, working with the wonderful Bill Murphy at last and a lot of dear old friends as well. And she gets to bang a gavel!
As an actor, Jed has been around the world & back….Herr Schultz, Jim Donnelly ,Thenardier and now he makes way to a 50’s British court where he talks far, far too much! As well, Jed doesn’t wander far from the theatre workshop where he does design and helps out where he can…. Couple that with a stint on the board and various teams and all in all you have a wonderful life at the Roxy! Thanks to Bill Murphy for his guidance, patience and wit…to Lisa for keeping the train on the track and to all the crew for their cooperation, perseverance and sense of humour. To the cast: your talent and hard work inspire us all! To Jane and that Mackenzie woman who showed me how to be a better actor, barrister, and above all, person!…. all my family for helping me in this and everything I do; my love, respect and thanks!
….ain’t life a beautiful thing!
Kaeli is fairly new to the OSLT. This is her second production, following Cinderella. She is enjoying being back on the performance scene and is looking forward to more opportunities in the future. When she is not on stage, she is teaching, or marking, or prepping, or stressing about any of those things. She also loves spending time with her family, including her dog (Sochi) and new puppy (Phallan).
Karina McKerroll is a long-time stage lover, with her love beginning at an early age, expressing herself through dance. She trained at Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, and believes the learning is never-ending. She is grateful to be sharing this experience with such a talented, kind, and passionate group. Special thanks to Bill Murphy. Buckle-up, the pot is about to be stirred.
Mariella has been hanging around the theatre for many years. Usually, you can spot her in the back row of a musical, singing and dancing. She confesses, though, the most fun is at rehearsals, where the bloopers and shenanigans keep everyone laughing. Thanks go to Bill Murphy, for keeping the fun rolling.
What fun – back on the stage after too long a break! Mark is grateful to be back under Bill’s tutelage 33 years after he directed him for his very first stage experience in Twelve Angry Jurors. Thanks to all the cast and crew for a wonderful time – so many awesome new people!

After decades of work both on stage and behind the scenes, Yvonne has spent the last ten years focused on lighting (pardon the pun). Returning to the stage for Witness For The Prosecution is a delight and Yvonne gives her heartfelt thanks to the cast and crew for a stress free experience back on stage!
Bill is very happy to be back in the director’s chair for this production of Agatha Christie’s Witness For The Prosecution. Directing a mystery is not a new challenge for Bill having directed several for OSLT in the past including The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and An Act of The Imagination. He relishes the opportunity to work with the multitude of hard working and talented OSLT volunteers, and this wonderful team of actors and backstage crew. Enjoy the show, but remember, “Mum’s The Word.”
This is Brodie’s 5th venture into set design, previous builds include Anything Goes and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Brodie has been on stage many times, with some favourite roles such as “The Cowardly Lion”, Banquo, and King Arthur (Spamalot). This time last year Brodie was on stage battling a cursed set as “The Director” (and Inspector) in The Play That Goes Wrong. It is very rewarding to be putting a set together this time. It is a task made possible with the dedicated help of the Set Build, and Painting and Décor Teams. I hope you enjoy the show. See you in court! Thanks to the builders Michael Jeavons, Jaimie Smith, Mike Tettenborn, Bill Murphy, James Moyse, Ron Brown, Paul Nicholson, Steve Byers, Martin Cooper, Bill Korince, Marie-Claude Bouret, Frank Bouret, and Terry Burns with her paint team!

Where else can you combine an interest in textiles, colour, fashion, and people in the community with our wardrobe collection? As costumers, we try to portray the nuances of each character in their clothes, to help tell a story. Many thanks to Martha, a very willing and able assistant in this goal.
Kasey has been part of the OSLT for many years, bringing extensive experience and creativity to every production. Kathleen has enjoyed working with Bill again this season and extends her sincere thanks to the Witness for the Prosecution company for their dedication and hard work. Enjoy the show!
Leah is overjoyed to be working on Witness for the Prosecution this season. After working as props lead for Cinderella, a change of venue to a 1950s courtroom was a welcome twist. She loved building the case, researching and crafting historically accurate documents to bring the story to life. Huge props to Nicole Stephenson for her support and partnership on this show. The evidence speaks for itself. Endless thanks to the cast and crew for making this production one for the record books.
Lisa has been an OSLT member for over 20 years, and has had the opportunity to work with many productions in different capacities including props, lights, sound, Assistant Stage Manager, and Stage Manager. On stage, she has played minor roles in The King and I, Outer Space, and The Devil’s Disciple. Being Stage Manager for Witness For The Prosecution has been a wonderful experience from every perspective! Bill Murphy has once again worked his directorial magic, and watching the blooming of an intense story with many twists and turns was amazing as always. Our mighty cast of actors became the story. It is said that it takes a village to raise a child. Our village contributed so many things! Constant support and encouragement from stage managers; beautifully crafted props; an elegant set; great music, sound and lighting; costumes and makeup for the ages. The list of contributions is endless, and kept coherent by our producer! The talented people on, off, and backstage, combined to create a memorable experience that we all will cherish, and look back on with pride. It has been my pleasure to be a part of it. Enjoy the play.
Marie-Claude has helped with many productions in a variety of positions. As an assistant to Kathleen Murphy in this production, Marie-Claude is learning to become a producer of a major play. Besides the theatre, Marie-Claude likes to keep busy with family and friends, volunteering at her grand-kids’ school and at a thrift store.

May you enjoy the great show!
Mike has been on stage recently in 7 stories, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Beauty And The Beast, Sister Act, as “Wicker” in Shorthanded, and more. Mike also loves getting involved with technical support especially with sounds. Mike has been on the OSLT board for many years and is currently Treasurer. He has studied acting and stage craft at the Stratford Festival and has performed/assisted with Theatre Georgian Bay and other regional playhouses. Many thanks to the Murphy twins for giving him this opportunity to help with sounds and chime in on stage.
Nicole is excited to be a part of Witness to the Prosecution as the lead makeup artist. She loves the creativity that comes with theatre and enjoys helping bring characters to life on stage through makeup. She would like to extend a big thank you to Cher Cowan and Donna Fisher-Potter for their assistance.
With Witness for the Prosecution, Terry has once again signed on as a scenic painter, with much valued help from Joanne Dowdall, Lynn Sparkhall, Maureen Keating, and Val Prettie. She is also shadowing the inimitable Bill Murphy as director, preparatory to taking on the director’s role for next season’s The Heiress. Thanks, Bill!
Val has been an active member serving OSLT for more than 25 years. Throughout that time, she has worn many hats around the theatre, from Hair Design, Stage Management, Set Painting and Décor, as well as bartending and ushering. For this production she is also part of the Set Painting Team. She is happy to be co-lead with Kasey and adding two new members to the Hair Team, Cher and Donna.
