Dad’s an architect; Mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal. Diane, the mom, suffers from bipolar disorder, which has lasting effects on her family. This musical explores the pressing issues of trauma, loss, the meaning of family, and finding hope in the darkness.
