Make your night at the theatre unforgettable with our exclusive Pre-Show Dining Experience. In collaboration with Bafana Bafana Foods and the Roxy Theatre, we invite you to indulge in a specially crafted menu at the Harmony Centre before taking your seat for an evening of live entertainment at the Roxy.

Available only on select show nights, this curated experience is designed to flow seamlessly—from the first bite to the final bow—so you can relax and savour the entire night out.

Dinner starts at 5:15pm at the Harmony Centre, allowing you enough time to enjoy your meal before your show.

David Green Thompson, owner and chef of Bafana Bafana Foods, was born in Durban, South Africa and migrated to Canada in 1994. Growing up in Owen Sound, Ontario, David pursued his passion for food by completing the Culinary Management program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. After graduation, he joined the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, beginning his Red Seal apprenticeship. He completed his certification at the renowned Araxi Restaurant + Bar during the 2010 Winter Olympics, and later honed his craft at Hawksworth Restaurant, voted Canada’s No. 1 restaurant of the year.

David’s career then expanded internationally with Holland America Line, where he worked as a Chef Tournant, leading cooking classes, food demonstrations, and culinary events for guests around the world. His career also included working aboard private yachts in Cannes, France and Sardinia, Italy, before returning to Vancouver to join Chef Ricardo Valverde at Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio, recognized as Best New Restaurant by Vancouver Magazine.

He later held the role of Chef de Cuisine at Granny Mouse Resort & Spa in South Africa before returning to Canada to launch Bafana Bafana Foods. Today, through catering, farmers’ markets, and private dining experiences, David blends his South African roots with global influences, sharing his passion for food and creating memorable culinary experiences.
