Theatre Camps aim to educate youth in the activities of live theatre and team building, providing an opportunity to build new friendships. Camp Directors will facilitate camps to help participants gain confidence, creativity, independence, and commitment to the creative process.

Our Theatre Camp Pillar includes March Break and Summer Camps. Theatre camps give youth a chance to experience theatre life in a safe and fun environment where they work as a team learning skills and participating in the creative process.

Dates/Times: June 30 – July 4

Age Range: 7-9

Cost per Participant: $200 + Service Fee

9:00-4:00. Dive into the magic of musical theatre this summer! Join us for a week of fun-filled activities, including exciting games, creative crafts, and hands-on rehearsals. Campers will learn singing, acting, and dancing skills while preparing a short show to perform for family and friends on the final day. 🌟🎭 *no camp on Canada Day

Cost per Participant: $225 + Service Fee

9:00-4:00. Dive into the magic of musical theatre this summer! Join us for two weeks of fun-filled activities, including exciting games, creative crafts, and hands-on rehearsals. Campers will be rehearsing for Mean Girls JR – a one hour musical performance to be performed on the last day at 5:30.

March Break 2026

Looking for a creative and exciting way to spend your March Break?

Join our March Break Theatre Camp! Perfect for budding performers and imaginative minds, this week-long program is designed for youth aged 7-13, offering a dynamic mix of acting, singing, dancing, and behind-the-scenes fun. Campers will: 🎭 Explore acting techniques through games and improv. 🎵 Learn the basics of musical theatre performance. 🎨 Design props, costumes, and set elements. ✨ Build confidence, teamwork, and new friendships. The week concludes with a mini-showcase where campers can shine on stage and share their newfound skills with family and friends. No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! Dates: March 16 – March 20, 2026 Times: 9:00-4:00. Registration will open in December.

Registration Fees

• Program registrations must be paid in advance
• Registration fees are processed through the Roxy OSLT’s ticketing system

Cancellations & Refunds

1. If you cancel or are absent without advanced notice less than two weeks before your program
begins, no refund or credit will be issued.
2. If you cancel at least two weeks before your class/camp begins, you will receive a refund
minus a $25 cancelation fee.

Absences

1. Due to the structure of our programs, there are no make up days for absentees
2. There are no prorated fees for missed days
3. There are no prorated fees or make up days for snow days/weather cancellations.

Roxy Young Company – Participation Policy

In agreeing to participate and/or use The Roxy facility or related program rental space, I understand that the OSLT/Roxy will not be liable for any loss, injury or death resulting from participation in our programs or events. I agree to waive my right to sue The Roxy, The Owen Sound Little Theatre or any person working with or for the organization, including but not limited to staff, Board of Directors, volunteers and/or contractors for any loss, injury or death resulting from participation in our programs or events.

I authorize OSLT/Roxy to have and use photographs, slides, video recordings, and comments of the person(s) participating in our programs as needed in promotional materials, including but not limited to, the Roxy website or social media platforms.

A Creative Summer to Remember

Summer Break Camps will bring participants together to learn about the performing arts through theatre games, improvisation and an introduction to musical theatre. The program will also work with simple props, sets and costumes.

Participants can expect to have fun and gain confidence while learning something new and building friendships along the way.

Grace McRae

Director
Grace holds a bachelor’s degree in musical theatre performance from Sheridan College and has appeared in productions such as Seussical the Musical, Legally Blonde, A Man of No Importance, and Grand Hotel. During her four years in the program, Grace has had the opportunity to be mentored theatre greats, such as Joel Gray, Bartram and Hill, and Laurence Follows. Grace has been involved with OSLT since childhood and is thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the community who gave so much to her.
