The Roxy Young Company Classes provide youth with the opportunity to develop their theatre skills, build friendships, and experience a sense of belonging. Act 1 Fall Classes emphasize performance, while Act 2 delves into all aspects of theatre. Throughout the programs, participants work diligently to refine their abilities, boost their confidence, and cultivate a supportive, creative community.

Act 2: Program
Through a series of workshops, participants learn not only about performing but also learn about backstage elements such as sound and lighting, wardrobe, props, makeup and hair, stage combat, improv and more!
NEW – Act 2: SR Troupe
In this weekly intensive, students will learn solos, group numbers and dance numbers as they prepare for summer events. Students must have been in a Young Company program before, or if they are new, they must audition. Students must also be available for at least 2 of the scheduled performance dates. Act 1: Program *Sold Out*
In this program, participants will immerse themselves in all aspects of theatre as they work towards putting on a show. From honing their acting abilities too dabbling in theatrical elements, participants will experience the thrill of collaboration and creativity. *Please note JR A has a smaller performance for friends and family only.

Bursary Information
Finances should never prevent a child from participating in the arts. The Roxy Young Company is committed to making our programs accessible to as many children and youth in our communities as possible. The Roxy Young Company Bursary Fund allows children to register in our programs, based on your family’s financial need.
With the help of the Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound we have options to assist kids who want to participate. Please apply today.

Lacey Mooney – Young Company Coordinator
Lacey is a long time Owen Sound Little Theatre member having first joined when she was 11 years old. She has gone on to perform in over 18 OSLT productions, and has also worked backstage in all areas. She has directed four youth productions, including Matilda Jr, as well as camps and electives. She also directed Disney’s Beauty in the Beast in 2022. She has training in dance, vocals and acting. She is so excited to be working with youth in the area to bring them some amazing theatre experiences!
