Listen to the CBC Radio Interview about the Roxy Youth Program
The Roxy Youth Program supports the Vision and Mission of the Roxy OSLT by valuing Education and Participation in order to create a respectful, creative community of young people that participate in the arts.
The program is facilitated by Lacey Mooney our Roxy Youth Program Coordinator. If you have any questions about the program she can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or a message can be left with the box office.
The program is broken into three Pillars: Theatre Education, Theatre Camps, and the Roxy Young Company. Explore the different areas to find out more about the benefits and programming we offer.
We look forward to helping you explore the amazing world of live theatre and the caring and supportive community it creates!
Our Theatre Education Pillar includes one time education workshops, webinars and other educations offerings that focus on specific topics allowing to youth learn about aspects of theatre. This can include performance, script writing, production management, set design and much more.
Our Theatre Camp Pillar includes various types of camp experiences for when kids are out of school. These can include Winter, Spring, Summer and PD camps. These camps give youth a chance to experience theatre life in a safe and fun environment where they work as a team learning skills and participating in the creative process.
The Roxy Young Company is a dedicated theatre troop intended to give youth an opportunity to develop theatre skills, gain a sense of belonging, and produce a live show on the Roxy stage. Our Roxy Youth Program Coordinator leads the Roxy Young Company and is supported by the Owen Sound Little Theatre staff and volunteers.
